Directs, develops and administers all agency vocational programs. Serving at the JCFS senior management level, the CVO is charged with leading both development and delivery of career and employment services as well as vocational and habilitative services. This position works to optimize coordination and use of all available resources in achieving the highest level of client/placement candidate service. Serves as primary staff liaison to the Vocational/Business Services Committee of the Board. Position requires a master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university. Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in the Vocational field. Specific experience in employment and career services as well as rehabilitative vocational programs is preferred. Experience should include implementing career, employment and training best practices and at least 5 years successful supervision of professional staff, as well as effective execution of administrative responsibilities. Demonstrated successful experience in contract and grant development. Professional contribution and experience in the local, national and academic vocational field a strong plus. (HS-5183

TEMPORARY
ESL instructor (part time 16 hours per week), 6526 N California, Chicago.
Instruct ESL learners at beginning or intermediate ESL level using JVS curriculum. Create learning activities appropriate to student level and needs. Monitor student progress through administration of standardized pre and post tests. Maintain and submit records of student attendance and progress. Assist with student recruitment, retention and transition efforts. Participate in JVS ESL team meetings and activities. Requires minimum two years previous experience teaching ESL to adults.
