If you are a low-income, older adult who wants to re-enter the workforce, consider our JVS Senior Services Program. We create opportunities for mature workers to build the experience and confidence needed to find permanent employment, while earning a salary through paid community service assignments. This is an opportunity to add to your income, be engaged with the community and position yourself to be economically self-sufficient.
Who we help
You may qualify if you are seeking employment, are age 55 or older and meet the Federal low-income requirements.
How we help
You will gain valuable on-the-job training through paid assignments for up to 48 months. You will work with local nonprofit and government organizations, such as schools, libraries, hospitals and museums. We will identify your interests and help place you in a position where you will be a valued member of a team. With new skills, job experience and increased confidence, you will be better prepared to find unsubsidized employment in the future.
