Bruce is a Retail professional with 30 years varied experiences. He has worked in every facet of retail, from being an entrepreneur, to having corporate positions with a "Fortune 500" company. After his corporate retail position was eliminated in 2009 he became involved with LinkedIn, Twitter, and social media in his job search.
His experiences in Social media includes being, a keynote speaker, a subject matter expert for LinkedIn webinars, blog writer about Social Media & LinkedIn, he has also been a LinkedIn and Twitter Workshop Instructor at Harper College.
Bruce has started his own social media business, Hobknobery to provide one-on-one profile consultations, presentations, and workshops for LinkedIn. He expanded into LinkedIn and social media strategy for small businesses, social selling for sales people & business development, and training recruiters how to use free LinkedIn for sourcing. Most recently he has presented workshops for Chambers of Commerce, consultants, recruiters, out placement companies, small business groups, as well as webinars for national retail businesses.
He has been interviewed on WBBM News Radio, PBS, Boomers Ultimate Guide, and Blog Talk Radio. Bruce’s “Job Search Journey” and landing was featured on PBS’s international "Nightly Business Report" segment: “You’re Hired” in May of 2011. In 2011 he was listed as one of the top 15 LinkedIn Specialists internationally. In 2015 he was listed as one of the top 200 LinkedIn practitioners in the world.
